Brief Description
This apprenticeship role is designed for individuals looking to build a career in software engineering and technical support. You will work as part of the support team, gaining hands-on experience supporting users, troubleshooting software issues, and contributing to product improvements.
Qualifications Required
- You have to be 18 years old and over and must have lived in the UK / EEA for the last 3 years
- You can’t already have a degree which is too similar (e.g. Computer Science Degree)
- Must have GCSE Maths and English (Grades A-D or 9-4) (or equivalent)
- Must have 3 A Levels or BTEC Level 3 or a Level 3 Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
Skills Required
We are not expecting prior professional experience. Instead, we’re looking for:
● A strong interest in technology and software
● Curiosity and a willingness to learn
● Good communication skills (written and verbal)
● Problem-solving mindset
● Ability to stay organised and manage multiple tasks
● Basic familiarity with computers (Windows/Mac, Office tools)
Training to be Provided
Our Level 6 standard is integrated with a degree in Digital & Technology solutions which is validated by the Open University. Each cohort spends their first 5 weeks at college taking part in our Launchpad training.
This training not only covers modules for the degree programme but also ensures to prepare you for the workplace. Following the Launchpad training you will return to your employer for 7-8 weeks returning to Ada for one-week blocks on a rotation basis.

Vacancy Detail
With support and training, you will:
● Provide first-line support to customers via email, phone, and chat
● Troubleshoot and investigate software issues, escalating where needed
● Learn how to replicate bugs and support engineering teams in diagnosing issues
● Assist in testing new features and updates before release
● Develop knowledge of the product suite and how users interact with it
● Contribute to internal knowledge bases and documentation
● Translate technical information into clear guidance for users
● Work collaboratively with engineering, product, and customer teams
As you progress, you will begin to:
● Take ownership of more complex support cases
● Contribute to technical improvements and process enhancements
● Build foundational coding and debugging skills
As part of the apprenticeship, you will develop skills in:
● Software development fundamentals
● Debugging and problem-solving techniques
● Understanding APIs and system integrations
● Working with issue tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Zendesk)
● Communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
● Agile ways of working
