Vacancy Detail
This program is a BSc Degree Apprenticeship that combines academic study with professional practice in the digital and technology sector. You will be employed as an apprentice in a digital and technology role throughout your studies, thus being able to apply your discipline knowledge to professional and industrial practice as you progress through the program. We offer a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive environment, welcoming diversity in all its forms.
You will study at Ada College for 10-11 weeks a year for a duration of three years. This blended learning approach, which mixes work-based study and attendance at college study weeks, will allow you to be both a productive employee and a participant in a learning community. The program includes a 'Work-based Dissertation' in the third year, allowing you to focus on your degree specialism and address pertinent challenges identified by you and/or your employer.
A core part of this degree is the requirement for apprentices to develop a portfolio that will provide a record of the specific skills and knowledge they have developed and used in the workplace.
Career Development & Progression
At Netacea, we believe in nurturing your professional growth and personal development. We've developed two primary career progression paths within the data engineering team: the Tech Leadership route (Specialist/Principal) and the People Leadership route (Senior/Lead). These paths allow individuals to further specialise their technical skills or to grow their leadership abilities, respectively. However, these paths aren't set in stone; we offer flexibility for individuals to switch paths as their career aspirations evolve.
The Degree Apprentice role provides a steppingstone towards both paths, with potential future progression into either. In addition to the appraisal process for your degree apprenticeship, you will also be expected to engage with the same professional development appraisal processes as the other members of the data teams, which will involve a probation review, ongoing conversations with your line manager and annual appraisals against your professional objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Insight Delivery: Deliver insights, analysis, data, and measurement that help the business achieve its objectives.
- Onboarding Customers: Work with data science and analysis colleagues to onboard new customers onto our bot protection models.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with other stakeholders, such as customer operations and sales, to understand their requirements and address them effectively.
- Learning & Development: Keep up to date with the latest developments within the field of data analytics and continuously apply learning to the job.
- Academic Progression: Engage fully in academic studies and meet all coursework and project deadlines as required by the Open University degree program.
