Qualifications Required

- Must be 18 years old and over
- Cannot already have a degree in a similar subject e.g. Computer Science Degree
- Have the right to work in the United Kingdom and been a resident in the UK/EU for at least 3 years
- 5 GCSEs or equivalent with Maths and English at grade 4 and above (A-C).

Plus one of the following:
- 3 A*-C at A-level or Equivalent (STEM subject is an advantage, but not necessary)
- BTEC National or NVQ/SVQ Level 3
- Level 3 Apprenticeship Qualification (or equivalent)

Training to be Provided

Our Level 6 standard is integrated with a degree in Digital & Technology solutions which is validated by the Open University. Each cohort spends their first 6 weeks at college taking part in our Launchpad training.

This training not only covers modules for the degree programme but also ensures to prepare you for the workplace. Following the Launchpad training you will return to your employer for 7-8 weeks returning to Ada for one-week blocks on a rotation basis.

Programme Overview
As a Degree Apprentice at HSBC, 20% of your time will be spent studying towards a Digital Technology Solutions Professional Degree Apprenticeship (BSc) at Ada National College for Digital Skills, accredited by the Open University. The remaining 80% of your time you will be working in our HSBC technology teams, solving important technology and business problems for our clients, and developing your professional and technical skills.

During this experience, you'll be part of a community, you will join a group of apprentices embarking on the same journey as you. You will also have access to a broader group of people that will support you throughout to develop both personally & professionally.

As an apprentice, year one will be primarily focused on gaining the skills and certification needed to do the job. Then you'll progressively transition into a specialist pathway that is the right choice for you based on your skill set, preferences, and the business need, while continuing to attend college.
