Qualifications Required

GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at grade 4 or above (A-C).
Plus, one of the following:
3 A*-C grade passes at A-level or equivalent (at least one STEM subject is an advantage), or
Advanced Apprenticeship (level 3)

Training to be Provided

Our Level 6 standard is integrated with a degree in Digital & Technology solutions which is validated by the Open University. Each cohort spends their first 6 weeks at college taking part in our Launchpad training.

This training not only covers modules for the degree programme but also ensures to prepare you for the workplace. Following the Launchpad training you will return to your employer for 7-8 weeks returning to Ada for one-week blocks on a rotation basis.

Future Prospects

Upon successful completion of apprenticeship, there may be a full-time role or further training.

The role

The purpose of the Technology Apprentice role is to work closely with experienced technologists in the 5G and Distributed Systems teams to learn the value and practice of independent technology consultancy within large multi-organisational consortia.
In this varied and exciting role, you will shadow two team members at Digital Catapult, attend meetings (both internal and external), learn about a range of advanced digital technologies, and have the opportunity to improve your public speaking, report writing, presentation skills, and understand more about public funding, and how large multi-organisational projects operate to achieve innovation goals.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Promote the activities of Digital Catapult as a good corporate citizen and collaboration partner
Manage and track your own progress against goals set with your line manager
Undertake private research to learn more about our technologies, and select a special interest within 5G or Distributed Systems
Research market conditions, technology partners and providers, and learn how companies function from startups through to multi-nationals
Deliver regular reports on your progress to your line managers
Support the activities of your technologists
Participate in internal and external meetings as you shadow your technologists and learn how to deliver independent advice and guidance
