Vacancy Detail

You might be working on our customer facing website, or you could be solving exciting logistics and distribution challenges, or perhaps you will be crafting the software that our colleagues across Cazoo use every day to do their jobs. Whichever team you join you will be contributing to the success of a truly unique company and you will be learning very quickly. At Cazoo we use cutting edge technologies and practices and we have a team of exceptional engineers from whom you can learn. Our cutting edge technology stack is built on a fully serverless, event driven architecture with React on the front end and Typescript used throughout. We are recognised experts in modern practices like Test Driven Development, Pair Programming and CI/CD. But we don?t expect you to have experience with or knowledge of any of that. We?ll teach you it all.

Whilst you will get all the support and mentoring you need to be successful, you will be a fully fledged member of your team, working alongside experienced engineers on the same goals. You?ll be working collaboratively with the other members of your team every day. We don?t do very much alone at Cazoo. We believe that software engineering is a team game. After two years of studying with Ada, the National College for Digital Skills, you will have completed your Level 4 Software Developer Apprenticeship. You will also earn a Foundation Degree in Digital Innovation validated by the Open University, and become a qualified Software Developer.

We take the studying element of the apprenticeship seriously. We will provide you with all the support you need to successfully complete your qualification and we will work closely with Ada. In addition, we will provide you with all of the following:
- An Engineering Manager who will be responsible for your overall happiness and success at Cazoo.
- A dedicated mentor who will support you in learning the tools of the software engineering trade
- A buddy who will act as a sounding board and help you to find your feet at Cazoo.
- The Cazoo Technical Academy. A cutting edge training programme we offer to all of our engineers that teaches modern software engineering practices.
- The Cazoo Skills Hub. A library of online training resources that we make available to all team members.
- A dedicated programme of non-technical training designed specifically for our apprentices, focused on skills to help you build a successful career.
